Companion service (LSS)
Companion service involves a person with a functional impairment receiving support from another person in the community. The aim is to enable participation in community life and contact with others.
The companion service in accordance with the LSS should not be confused with companionship in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL). This is instead related to the service type 'home care'.
