Home care (SoL)
Home care is granted by social services and consists of help and support to an individual in their own home or equivalent, so that the person can continue to live at home.
Home care is the term for a collection of initiatives granted by social services with the support of Chapter 4, Article 1 of the Social Services Act (SoL). These may be:
- service initiatives, such as cleaning or management or
- personal care, such as hygiene or help at mealtimes.
Certain other types of service that do not entail significant contact with the eligible person (for example security alarms, delivery of meals, collecting and delivering laundry, etc.) are not subject to authorisation.
