The Healthcare Provider Register

Anyone who intends to start a service that falls under the supervision of IVO must notify this to IVO no later than one month before the service starts.

As of July 1, 2023, IVO may subpoena anyone who has not fulfilled their reporting obligation. The injunction may be combined with a fine, which means that anyone who does not report their business to IVO risks becoming liable for payment.

If an activity is completely or substantially changed or moved, this must be reported to IVO within one month of the implementation. 
If an activity ceases or is closed down, this must be reported to IVO within one month of the closure.

An annual fee for aesthetic activities

The annual fee for activities that carry out aesthetic surgical interventions or injection treatments is SEK 13 500. The invoice is sent at the beginning of the year to healthcare providers that have been active during the previous calendar year regardless of volume and turnover, or whether the activity was conducted during all or part of the year.

Temporary restriction in the E-service

In order to use IVO’s E-service for the Healthcare Provider Register, your organisation must have at least one activity registered in one of IVO’s registers. If you are not already registered, you need to fill in the application form and send it to registerfragor@ivo.se for help with registering the first activity. After that, you can use the E-service.
